Our Advanced Clinical Practitioners are available to deal with a large range of appointment types except the following:
- children under 12 month’s old
- Sick Note requests
- Women’s Health
- Pregnancy
Antenatal Care
Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwives available by appointment.
Asthma & COPD
Regular check-ups and advice from practice nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication.

Wednesday 1.30pm to 4.45pm

Please note that if you wish to see the Health Visitor they are only available until 4.00pm.
Blood Pressure
Routine Blood Pressure checks by appointment only with a Healthcare Assistant or Practice Nurse.
Blood Tests
Blood tests are available by appointment only either with a Healthcare Assistant or Phlebotomist.
If you need a blood test and can’t attend the surgery during routine opening times you may be interested in a phlebotomy service that is provided at various Practices in the area. This service is also able to offer blood test appointments for children over the age of 2 years.
Cervical Cytology (Smears)
All routine cervical smears are undertaken by our Practice Nurses. National guidelines state that routine smears should commence at age 25 and continue at 3 yearly intervals up to the age of 50. After the age of 50, guidelines state that the interval should be 5 years.
Book a clinic appointment with any of our nurses at the Practice or ask about availability in the Extended Hours clinics held on evenings and weekends.

Healthcare Assistants
- Annual Diabetic foot screening
- Blood Pressure checks
- Blood Tests (please note that this must have been requested by a hospital or the Practice)
- ECGs (please note that this must have been requested by a hospital or the Practice)
- Pregnancy test
- Pulse checks
Long-term Conditions Clinic (LTC) including Diabetes & Hypertension
Please ensure that you attend for your review when invited. We also have a Practice Diabetic Specialist Nurse to support patients with more complex Diabetic requirements
Phlebotomy
We have a phlebotomist in the Practice if you require a Blood Test. We can also offer appointments in the phlebotomy service that is provided at various Practices in the area. This service is also able to offer blood test appointments for children over the age of 2 years.
Seasonal Flu Clinics
If you come to the Practice for your vaccination and you are also eligible for the pneumonia vaccine and/or the shingles vaccine we will try and provide this at the same time. All the money that we earn from NHS England for providing this service goes back into the day to day running of the Practice to help us provide services all year round.

Women’s Health
Advice on gynaecologica problems, family planning including IUD fitting, breast disease, menopause and any other aspects of Women’s Health needs. Various appointments – please ask at Reception.
